Filipina Care Workers and COVID-19 Proposal.

Approach

Working closely with the team we will identify the overall vision and goals for the digital experience. We will begin by identifying experience values, and identifying requirements, and prioritizing key elements. This will help us to arrive at an MVP (Minimum Valuable Product) which we will subsequently evolve.

Phase 1: Defining MVP

Duration: 3-4 weeks

Working closely with the team we will identify the overall vision and goals for the digital experience, the experience values, and requirements for the Minimum Valuable Product (MVP).

Kickoff

Initial workshop to identify experience goals, requirements, limitations and any other information that could be relevant to the development of the digital strategy and design.

Technical Discovery

Reviewing all technical requirements and potential technologies. Making recommendations for technologies that allow for future extensibility and flexibility of the digital archive and web experience.

MVP Definition & Prioritization

Working closely with the team to prioritize key features that are required for the MVP launch and creating a roadmap for subsequent features that will be released shortly after.

Moodboarding

Two creative directions will be explored to decide on an overall approach to the initial visual design and branding.

Phase 2: Design & Prototype

Duration: 6-8 weeks

Define the overall design language. Create a single one-page website explaining the project

One-pager website definition

Define key content required for an initial one-page website that explains the project. This activity will include, in collaboration with the team, reading assets. All written content will be the responsibility of the team

UX Design & Prototyping

Outline and prototype the complete digital platform. This will include outlining key users flows, determine content blocking, define the taxonomy, wireframe key screens and prototype key interactions. This will include 1 feedback & revision cycles.

Visual design & Prototyping

Once an overall visual direction has been selected, the key screens and design vocabulary will be created for the complete digital experience. This will include some light branding to give “Filipina Care Workers & COVID-19 Photovoice project'' a distinct visual identity. This will include bringing to life both each of the stories as well as any additional materials. Additional prototypes will be created to express how the digital experience will move and feel. This will include 1 feedback & revision cycles.

Phase 3: Full build

Duration: 8-10 weeks

Build out the complete digital experience including content modelling for the CMS, front-end template, content production to ready assets for CMS, and deployment

The majority of the build will focus on building the infrastructure for the Photovoice digital platform to ensure that it is extensible, flexible and customizable. The build will include only what has been prioritized for the MVP.

Development

Building the front-end and back-end for the digital experience. Technologies selected here will be dependent on technical discovery and the needs identified by the team. This will include a full CMS along with a series of front-end templates to ensure that the team can continue to add new content and maintain the website.

QA

On-going quality assurance to ensure cross-browser compatibility.

User acceptance testing

The team will have access to a test version of the site they can review prior to launch.

Content production and migration

The  team will be primarily responsible for providing and curating any imagery or written content. CMS training will be provided to begin to train the team on content entry. Content production will be included for some image editing and sourcing (if needed) to prepare content for the website
